yes, it works! But it's not for the impatient to select all these vertices, I tell you :-).

Now I'll add bridging to the lowpoly requests ...

[EDIT] Actually one can use the same technique that Granada used for the window/door tutorial. Create two boxes, inset faces next to each other, throw the insetted polys away, extrude one the insetted remainders and snap on the hole. This may not be a clean solution, but you can make it clean by welding the vertices (which is about the same effort as the above).

can anyone write a routine for this?
so i can make a floorplan in a bmp or anything else, load this in deled, start the routine, and the routine make:
all itself, so i have then a level like my picture/floorplan, ths must be easy for the programmer of Deled, or?

Hmm this shouldn't be too easy, for you have bitmaps, so you have to extract the information of those bitmaps. It would probably be easier with vector graphics than with bitmaps, but still hard enough Wink

with vectors, it is the same, i mean the idea, is the idea good?
so you can saving time, and its easier to build models, easy, because, the program must only make the floorplan into polylines, then copy it, then extrude the outside polylines and snap together with the ceiling(the edges i mean) and then the level is complet!
perhabs a vector paint program is then with deled,...

The idea would be good, but if you already have the floorplan, it shouldn't be too difficult to build the level, for you can use the DeleD Background image function.

The idea is good, and it is well known. CShop has something like this, and esp. Greenbriar's Toolbox - it's called level plan generator there.

Although I discussed this with the author of Toolbox a long time ago, from an UI perspective it's not solved sufficiently.

And, yes, Fletcher is right, it would need vectors and yes, he's right again - it's very easy to work around in DeleD. Check the simple house tutorial which does exactly that.
