If you've got a JPG, Alphablend will get you nothing because JPG has no alpha channels.

Exactly what I was suspecting already. You will need TGA if you're looking for transparency.

Oh btw, please edit your posts if you have something to add instead of adding a new one (if nobody else hasn't already replied, of course). Keeps the forums a bit cleaner that way. Thank you. Smile

Or DDS. Or PNG. But anyway, for proper alphablended texturing you will need PRO.

if i do alphablend on a jpg texture it remains the same so it's no wonder your tree (probably) doesn't look good.

may we see a screenshot?

Oh I see. So, effectively, to create really good low-poly trees I need DeleD Pro, for the alphablending. Well that's alright, I'm getting it in the near future. Very Happy

Actually, you don't need to view the transparency in DeleD. You could just add a tag to your material that says 'transparent' and use this information in your engine.

This, of course, shall not prevent you from getting PRO Very Happy
