You could try LevelWalker instead:

Really? I thought I fixed that a long time ago. Unless you have a graphics card that doesn't support depth occlusion query, AND has less graphics memory than the total texture load of your scene. In that case, try updating your drivers.

So
Code:

if:
  1. Your scene doesn't fill up the graphics memory of your card
or
 2. Your card supports depth occlusion queries
then
  it should run fine
else
it might be slow when turning (because of texture paging in the driver)

Well.. my graphics card supports depth occlusion and has the memory of 512MB, plus I'm only using 1 or 2 textures for the whole scene.. didn't texture it yet.

How much geometry are we talking about here? I just threw in a few prefab tanks on a grid (~15.9k polys), and there was more lag in the DeleD windows than in level walker Smile (zilch).

And I'm only running on ATI Radeon 9500/9700 Pro, 128 mb of memory I might add Wink

Edit: Started getting laggy @ 170,000 polygons Smile

Hi Adar,
I'm Level preview plugin programmer.
So I'd like to investigate your model troubles. Could you send me please by email (I won't participate to competition)?
Bye Wink

Well, it doesn't matter with what I use it, as long as I'm trying to face some complex geometry (not too complex) It's laggy as hell for me..
I have version 2007-09-28a

It's lagggy for me with the simplest scenes, the ones that come with Deled.

Oops, I mixed up between you two..
Basically Level Preview doesn't work with lots of geometry and objects, when I deleted many of the things, it worked fine.

That makes no sense to me. If that's the case, then something's going wrong, and should be fixed.

Are you talking about LevelWalker (from code.google.com) or about Il Buzzo's Level Preview?

Levelwalker: Extremely laggy for me, you can see in your post, I'm one of the first to reply.
Level Preview: Some geometry doesn't show.
