Hi! Last week I started working on a project by the name of "Ultra Vires". So far the game is nothing more than visual, as Im just having a good time modelling and drawing textures Smile

Story: Two factions beating each other asunder. The map is just one huge world-pvp battleground... Haven't decided what races to be involved in each faction, yet...

Plans:
The world contains 7 zones:
    "Pinetree" (1st faction starting zone)
    "Dark Forest"
    "Swamp"
    "Jungle"
    "Snowy-mountain" (2nd faction starting zone)
    "unknown"
"it's confidential" (also known as "thesuperawesomesecretzone")

Yes, these names a working titles... Don't worry!

I'll start by posting some pictures of "pinetree"-zone:

"Dark Forest" zone...

This picture is a little bit dark, but it's the look of the zone so I won't do anything about it...

That's a lovely scene, really! Very Happy

Can you tell us a bit more about your plans? Smile

OOhh.. that looks great! A bit dark though. On the other hand, it gives you a lot of freedom when adding lights. If you intend to add loads of weapons/spells, these might be used to "light up" the scene. Twisted Evil

@Jeroen: Plans? I really don't have any plans... Going straight forward with what pops into my head... But! I added some "plans/story" concepts I just figured out... (edited first post)

@chronozphere: added some light to those screens with the helpfull "auto contrast" in photoshop... The reason why they turned up so dark was because I was really sleepy and for some odd reason took the screenshots during nighttime in the game... Sleep might not be overrated after all hmmm...

Those scenes are looking very good indeed (especially now they are lightened as well) Smile

I wish I could put scenes like that together, you should consider writting a tutorial sometime.

Hi Maelstrom !
Your work looks very good - a consistent optic through your world, although ist's half realistic and half comic-style. Others have done great success with such a style (think about a mayor MMO, hehe).
So, keep on, and have fresh ideas of gameplay etc.
Btw, cool name!
