Interesting indeed ...
I've played a bit with the software, I think it's (at least) a good way of learning how to produce different kind of human bodies in 3D representation.
Exported obj in my modeler ... nice Smile Way to much polygons for what I'm generally at but still nice.
I have downloaded an extra target file (average-people01), unzipped it in the targets folder in a "average-people01" new directory, but I'm not so sure it's working.
Anyway I keep that app !

They are high poly, but there are polygon reduction techniques, so it's no biggy. Does anyone know a program for that? Maybe there is one on nvidia's site I think that will make a normal map and then reduce the polygons.

Polygon cruncher from MooTools. 2 cons tho; 1. It's not free, 2. It's for 3dsmax:

edit: there are several versions. I think it comes from Sylphis 3d engine's polygon reduction tool that was once free.

The excess polygons are mostly in the hands, feets and face. They were only 10,000? Hmm.. the new SVR2007 game is using 20,000 polygons characters.
