Hiho granada

I didnt try your tips now. But the Gridlinesize just adjusts the scale of the grid, right? Well, i dont use grid-snapping anyway. Everything is floating. Very Happy

Hello granada!

Sry that i didnt answer earlier. I had much to do with real-life, school and such stuff.

Well, thx for the help with the scaling. It works now fine so i can focus my work at the engine.

I've downloaded and unzipped the dll's to the plugin's directory, but when I start up Deled, I don't have the option to import/export B3D's.

I've taken a look at the plugin log and there's no entry for the B3D plugins being loaded.

Any ideas?

Hmmm, that's mighty strange! The plugin requires DeleD 1.1 or better, do you have that? (i.e. if you are a PRO user, you might not have updated to the latest DeleD version from DownloadeD yet). Do other plugins work? Do you see those get loaded in the log?

Please keep us posted!

The problem is that I've probably not updated to the latest version.

I've been to the DownloadeD page but it asks for a Username and login, which I didn't recieve with my order.

Do I need to register my product somehow?

Hi there.

As far as I know, importing textures from a B3D file works just fine.

1. Is the Texture import option set to "Import UV coordinates & Textures"

2. Do you have the 'Detailed Report' turned on? Any information about the textures in there?

3. Do the textures show up in Blitz?

4. Are the textures saved in the same location as the b3d file or somewhere else?

5. If all else fails, could you try sending the B3D file to me (paul [at] delgine [dot] com), so I can have a go at importing it?

If you want to test : maplet is here http://www.blitzbasic.com/Products/maplet.php

Yes

Paul-Jan wrote:

Code:
Texture castlest : Path information found (c:\program files\Maplet) : ignored
-Brush c:\program files\Maplet\castlest.bmp, texture castlest.bmp : Texture file not found , texture ignored

There is a file named castlest.bmp in the directory c:\program files\Maplet\.

Yep

Paul-Jan wrote:

In two cases, that doesn't change the error. Sad

It is easy to create one.
1. You install maplet
2. You open up
3. You go to the menu Texture > Open
4. You choose your texture
5. You create a cube
6. You export with the menu File > Export > B3D
7. You import it in Deled with the plugin.

The report you quoted says: "Path information found (c:\program files\Maplet) : ignored ". That means the path is ignored. If you copy the .BMP's into the same directory where you are trying to load the B3D file from, things should work properly.

The reason why the path is ignored is this: imagine you distributing your model to people. Would you want to them to load the texture from c:\program files\maplet? Nope. Putting hard texture paths into B3D files is bollocks as far as I'm concerned.

That said, if MAPlet does it, let's see if we can adjust. Smile I'll make the importer look in the local folder first, than in the specified path. I might even make it an option. But new features in the B3D importer are kinda lowpriority on the short term, so if you can find a way to make MAPlet not put those paths in there, or set up some process to have the textures end up in the same folder as where you are importing from, that would be neat.

Let us know how it works out!

Yes, that runs Smile (but i must build in maplet with theses textures (those which are in the same path)

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bollocks:

Quote:

"Bollocks" is a word meaning testicles in British English. The word is often used figuratively, most commonly as a noun to mean "nonsense"

I'm not too sure about "the dream", but the next version of the B3D importer will definitely support the feature you requested.
