IA closes down Torque

Today, InstantAction informed employees that it will be winding down operations. While we are shutting down the InstantAction.com website and Instant Jam game, Torquepowered.com will continue to operate while InstantAction explores opportunities with potential buyers for Torque. We thank all of our past and current customers for their support.

Here is the post and thread, very sad

I hate reading news like this, and of course - while i have an eye on torque, i hope that this is a benefit for garage games and especially their cusomers; i am not a one at this time. What holds me off buying torque is the lack of free tutorials. That's discussed widely on all forums; the policy seems to be is showing great possibilities but to sell anything else you need. I stay interested....

I have been expecting this for a long time. IA never took off, so it was never a money maker.

It won't make any difference to the engines. Instant action has always been nothing more than a game portal.

This is typical major corperation stratagy. Make money any and every way you can.

I should have read the tp forum before answering here. It seems the only difference between this and atmosphere is that the employees are still there, and the company is actively looking for a buyer.
