I absolutely love that water wall. Everything in your environment looks quite realistic. Awesome.

Thanks, it took quite some time because i never used custom menu's in UDK. Also adding new material effects like realistic reflection was something i had little experience with.

It's also much better than my old work (at least, i think it is). My goal was to make it much more realistic. So, thanks Very Happy

Edit: i updated my website with some more information and a gallery.

There is no doubt about it UDK is a very good mature scene manager/engine. I tried it myself, but would comment, to get good things out of it, you have to be prepared to invest quite a lot of time and effort.
Judging by what you and your team have achieved so far, and the professional motivations you have behind you, it shows in your presentations.

I would offer an opinion regarding the website. It has long been a no-no to have a website that has little/no information on it. Under Construction was frowned upon in the 90's Shocked along with dead links etc. Clearly you have quite a bit of content to expose on the website, maybe a few well spent hours adding it, will pay dividends Smile

Have you played with the 'F' focual length yet? One thing that makes things very realistic is how the human eye varies it focus by focal length moving into the scene without moving. A real treat when implemented correctly.

the website is my personal website, and i updated it with some screenshots. Our business website is www.remarkable3d.com and it gives much more information about our products. Now the project is not completely done. I really like to update the flash menu's i use to make it look more professional. Right now i mix Dutch and English together in the same menu. And it looks kind of boring (+ some small mistakes in design ).

I'm also building a new website, this is and was always intended to be a placeholder till i finished the site. So, yes i'm aware the way it is now is kind of a no-no ^^

Also, i never played with the "F" focual length i might just take a look at that thanks.

Discontinued project: "Haunted House"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFsDTRlVwU4&feature=youtu.be

I had this idea of a haunted house with a old ghost in it and all.
So i made this overnight in a few hours. After uploading it i went to bed and the next morning i watched it again. I was like: boring, meh
So i never finished it. Not the less i thought let's show it here.

The house itself is made in DeleD.

Mostly because while making this i found some things that i could use in UDK to make our products as Remarkable3D more realistic. So right now i'm re-making a demo zone we made.
For the demo zone we looked at some picture's from "de Koopgoot" in Rotterdam. We made a simular environment, warmer than the original and just a bit different. Now i'm re-making it to be a bit more realistic (not photo-realistic yet).
Also i don't really like the horror genre games. It was just the mood i was in at the time. (thunderstorm, and i forgot to put the light on in the room Twisted Evil )

When i'm done with it i will post a link here.

quick update. I said i would post the progress of the new demo project from inspiration of 'de koopgoot' in Rotterdam. Well, it's making progress but we still have to finish up some things.

Meanwhile i'm working on something else. It's for my personal portfolio.
I was reading the newspaper about a historical building in Rotterdam called "schielandshuis". Right now the museum of Rotterdam is in it. I looked up some reference screenshots and now i'm making it in 3D with DeleD Wink

When i'm done in DeleD i go to UDK and will make a proper and nice environment of it. Will be epic !

Reference Shot:

Will post some shots from DeleD later today!

I can't wait to finish this one and to start in UDK. But first i need to finish the main model, add the details such as the statue seen on the reference shot:

Will keep you updated. Very Happy

Some progress on textures.
In the intrest of time i'm going to make the details apart from the main model. DeleD is faster this way, and it's easier to model that way.
Like you can see, i skipped some numbers ^^ Also, the details png shows the models i'm going to make later on. It's going to be very hard to make that large statue. Ofcourse the textures are WIP. Still need to photoshop them and make them fit more.

How you can make such detailed models, I'll never learn. This is looking fantastic.

Well, i tried to make the statue completely in 3D, but i kind of failed.
So now it's partly in 3D, and partly done with Normal Maps.
And like many other projects, it starts to be boring to work on.
The surrounding buildings are old models i made way back. They have quite some lightning problems and are very low poly. But i needed to fill up the background with something so...

WIP

Finished (sort of)

So, i think i will keep it this way. I will upload the DeleD file later today with the textures and all. Free to use, change, non and commercial you name it.

Edit: DeleD files with textures are here:
