Been watching what people have been doing lately, and wondered if I even remembered how to use DeleD anymore. (haven't touched it in quite a while do to no reason)
So anyway, Whilst I was wondering, I saw an image of a waterfall, and decided to replicate it. (not exactly the same. Just that type)

Anyway, here's what I accomplished:

In Deled:

Rendered in Torque:

It's not the best, but it looks fairly close to the image I referenced. (can't find the image or I'd show it)

Edit, don't know why the thumbnails aren't showing.

Fixed. Thanks AWM

Thanks. Fixed it.
Some day, I'll figure out the river editor so I can make the waterfall look correct.

Good to see you still know how to handle DeleD. That waterfall looks pretty cool! Smile

I don't know if you caught my post adjoined to the one started by Mr Fletcher about alpha and colour settings for vertices, which is useful for blending edges between materials.

http://delgine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3355

http://delgine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3355&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15&sid=e7f276f9dbf88b5126c5db7efe9bdc15

The actual water mesh, if you extrude the edges so that you have a fair margin that reaches into the foilage/bank, then select all the outer edge vertices of the extruded polygons, then set the alpha to say 10, you will find the water and surrounding ground/foliage will blend together.

@Jeroen, thanks. Smile

@AWM, The water itself isn't made in deled. It's Torque 3D's river. In the game world, it's actually moving.

I'm not familar with Torque, but assume you can use shaders? If so, make the mesh as I described, and apply a water shader. Smile

Hehe. That's exactly what torque water is. There are some settings I don't have right.
